Very helpful for someone new to Nikon cameras
I bought this book as my boss had given me this camera to use. It was through this book I discovered this camera does not shoot full frame. I ended up returning the camera and getting another Nikon, and many of the concepts that are included in this book pertained to my new purchase.

Not for dummies
If you are looking for an instruction book, this is it. This book is definitely not the book to buy if you are looking for the easiest way to use this camera. I bought it because I couldn't find online how to do one specific thing. Couldn't find it in the book either. Sadly this is not what it is sold as (Nikon 5600 for dummies).I wish I hadn't spent the money

A book you didn’t know you needed!
This was exactly what I needed! My husband purchased a Nikon D5600 as my birthday present and I was too excited to use it until I figured out very quickly that I only know how to take basic click and shutter photos. To use this camera to its full potential you need a decent understanding of the basics and camera to get the full enjoyment from it. Shipping wasn’t bad but it took longer then what I’m use to waiting ( such an impatient millennial) about two weeks and in very good condition. Thanks to the seller for the cute note left with my package!

Indispensible Resource
I use my Nikon D5600 for hire (real estate photography) and this book has not only helped me master its many, many features, it's saved my bacon on more than a few occasions. I'm seriously considering buying my next camera based on whether or not Julie Adair King has written a Dummies book for it. Highly recommeneded (especially if you're a dummy with regards to DSLR cameras, or technology in general).

Book Meets Dummy....
I am the dummy this book was written for! I've always taken interest in photography, but invested my life to writing. Only recently have I begun to explore photography and bought a upper entry level DSLR. SO MUCH TO LEARN! This book is a God send. I am so much less intimidated since receiving it.

Better than Nikon's instruction manaual
A very comprehensive tome that takes some time to digest, but takes you through the Nikon D5600 step-by-step with very concise descriptions and explanations of what each button does and how the myriad of controls can be manipulated for better creative effect. If you have a Nikon D5600 and want to move away from A (Auto), this is the guide for you. It also covers movie making with the camera.

Accessible and understandable
Why they chose a silly name like "...for dummies" I never understood. The name put me off for some long time but this is my latest purchase in the series and like all others has fully come up to expectation. The language is direct and friendly without resorting to being jokey. It does not (I think) assume I have any pre-knowledge but it does not labour the points. eg fast shutter speed gives less light than a slower speed but the slower speed will allow movement blur. I started with an Exacta VX100 60 years ago and reluctantly tried an entry level DSLR. The D5600 demanded further coaching to enable me to get full use of the cameras capabilities. I am still on a learning curve but feel confident the instruction given in this book , together with the online advice from Nikon improve my photos.
