I have a bit of a passion for LED lights, I have them everywhere around the house and garden. And outside most of them are solar powered, it saves running cables everywhere, having sockets available, and of course running costs.These are the first ones I've bought which are push into flat ground, rather than strewn across a bush or strung along a fence. They arrive with separate spikes, which are easily assembled and clip into the base solidly. In use they generate decent levels of light, and look really good pushed into the ground.There's only one downside, which is that since they push into the ground, they need to be in an unsheltered area in order to get sufficient sunlight to power them for a reasonable time at night. This won't be such an issue in the summer, when the sun is high in the sky, but in winter it can be difficult finding an area of the garden at ground level on which the sun shines for more than an hour or two.If you have a large lawn and want lights on it these are pretty much perfect. If though, like us, you have a small relatively shady garden, then in winter they will receive only limited light, reducing the lighted time at night.They do look good though, with polished satin surrounds and black centre.

[UPDATE: August 2019, approx. ten months after purchase: One light is now faulty (water has got into the unit) but company refunded me for a quarter of purchase price.] I was worried that having bought solar powered lights about ten years ago, these, despite the reviews, may be weak and only work in the height of summer. Even in December the lights are bright and come on (albeit for less than half-an-hour) even on a miserable day with no sunshine. Having said that, even though they are in a pretty decent position (15 metres from the nearest building in a southerly direction), by the time we got to mid-November they were no longer on when I got home from work at about 6:00. Of course, the problem with solar-powered lights is that in the winter they don't get as much sunlight as you would like and in the summer they don't come on until late. If I had these in my back garden where there is no direct sunlight in the darkest four months of the year, they would not be much good. If you have them in a decent spot, like my front garden, they are very good and I doubt you'll find anything better. As you'd expect for the price, the mechanisms for sticking them in the ground are not very strong (use a screwdriver to save you forcing them into the ground and risk snapping them). They should be fine but despite having a footpath leading up to my front door and placing on the sides of that path, delivery men cut across our front lawn and accidentally kick them. Luckily, they haven't broken (though one required being pushed down as it had slightly weaker lights after one such kick) the actual lights but the plastic mechanisms snapped. Luckily, they don't actually need the supports as they can just sit on the ground.

Bought these back in March 2019: The lights are easy to install and when working they are bright. Just very disappointed that out of 4 in the box one of them is not working! They had been out in sunlight for 3 days tried the switch but it’s not working!Ordered another set this month ( Oct 2019) but after charging in the sun yesterday one of the set of 4 was not working! (See photo) this is very disappointing and after further charging today, all lights were working with that one not as bright as the rest? After an hour it’s not working now! So looks like they are temperamental. Hmm...This appears to have happened to another customer too so it seems like a common problem? I sucked up the first one as I was very busy at the time to get an answer from the seller, but it would be nice to get a full set of working lights.

The lights are a bit chunky and the size of material around the light surface is unesesarily large and it takes a lot of space. Othervise light is not so bright its more for a esthetics rather practical use.

Great during the summer as there is enough sun light to keep them charged up.Looks good although a tad bit pricey for what they are. Would recommend otherwise to smarten up the garden paths.

Hi. These are really pretty lights. I bought two packs for my garden but 3 out of the 8 spikes broke when putting them in the ground. They are quite flimsy.It is a shame as the lights are beautiful!

Lovely lights but quite expensive......brightens up my garden. I would really recommend.Also delivery was speedy. Happy all round.

As you can see, one of my lights does not work. I love the ones that do and I understand these things happen, please could you send me a replacement for the one that it broken **update** I have been contacted airway by the company who tell me they are sending me a full new set. Very good service. I'll update again when they arrive. Upgraded from 3 to 4 stars. #update.. the company have delivered a while new set of lights. I could not be happier with this service. Thank you so much. Also wanted to mention that the lights are much bigger than I expected. I love them. 😃
