MLB Boston Red Sox St. Patrick's Franchise Fitted Baseball Cap

I received this same Kelly Green '47 brand hat in 2013 as a birthday gift. I really like the hat and wear it almost everywhere. As such, it often ends up dirty and sweaty. I wanted to get another one so that I could wash one and wear the other one.The one I just received is of lower quality than the one received a year ago. On the left side near the brim they are no longer stitching an embroidered "47" on the hat. The material also seems thinner than the previous (which is not at thick as other fitted hats I've owned). The brim is the same, just the material in the cap. The stitching and shape are also getting worse. The cap is no longer really round. The vertical seams (from band to top) are stitched well, but the shape/size of the material around the band is not right (too large/long), so you end up with creases and a bit of an odd shape in the completed hat. If you look at the picture, you can kind of tell that from the right front where it meets the brim (you can see it is rolled, rather than stitched/seamed tightly).The hat had all the requisite "official" stickers and such on it, so I have to assume it's authentic which is disappointing because I was hoping for a hat with this color, the red "B" and the red shamrock on the back that was also constructed and stitched with quality. I'd even pay more (if that was an option) to purchase one that was better made. Of all the fitted caps I've seen/touched/owned this head and shoulders (pun intended) the worst of them. That even includes the one I've had for a year. If you want this hat with this color scheme, you are going to have to give up on the fit and finish of a good fitted cap. If you want a really good fitted cap, this one is not it. I REALLY wish it was, but it's not.I kept the hat, but it will probably be relegated to being the "yard work" hat.In looking at the picture again, I can see why they are showing the front right. If they showed the front left, you could see that the "47" is no longer embroidered on the hat. I don't think they are trying to fool anyone, I'm just bummed that they don't show more pictures of the hat so that one could see what's going on with newer iterations of this hat.Maybe I just got a factory blemished model? YMMV.

Can I be frank? Surely, be frank. Please don't call me Shirley.This hat is GREEN. I knew it was green when I bought it, I'm not blind, I see the picture. You don;t have to leave me comments about getting a new set of glasses or an eye exam or something. I'm just writing to tell everyone that, other than St. Patrick's Day, I think few are going to want to wear this hat around on a regular day and suffer the barbs of everyone they meet. "Hey, what, do you get a free bowl of soup with that hat?" "Yeah, buddy, it looks good on you, though". People pulling it off your head and throwing it up in the air and stuff. It hurts, especially if I'd trying to cover up my MPB (that's male pattern baldness) and someone yanks it off my head, it's a pain in the ass, really. I get p.o.'ed and hit them on the shoulder hard enough that it stings. I mean, you mess with the bull, you're going to get the horns.Oh, by the way, did I tell you the hat is green? Okay, I know a couple of you are out there saying, "What about the build of the hat? What is the hat like?" Here, I'll answer that for you: the hat runs a tad large, and the build is acceptable.... not the best hat I've ever worn, not the worst. Not structured enough but colors are prefect.

I purchased the same hat but in a small for St. Patty's Day. It was too tight, so instead of returning it (Took itto Dominican Republic late February and went horseback riding with it) I purchased the Medium and gavethe Small to my 6 year old grand daughter who loves green! Speedy shipping from the vendor.

was hard to ascertain the actual size listed as small, medium, large.most hats are sized according to their circumference in inches. i chose a medium (little tight but wouldve been the best fit).i didnt know what 'garment washed' meant. it has kind of a 'broken in' feel. it seems [i]used[/i] but i guess that is the style they were going for.

This is a awesome hat, the one I received actually has the red shamrock in the back (very cool). This is a very comfortable and true to size hat. I may have to pickup an extra sometime soon. Go Sox!!!!

Received the hat and it appeared to be a used hat. It had a tag that had been water soaked and the hat appeared to be very faded. I am very unhappy with this purchase.

Hat came in great condition with no, issues quality looked good just wish we would make the hats in USA.
