Great scratchplate
Good quality scratchplate, came with 250 k mini pots fitted, and a decent 5 way switch with a positive feel, fitted to a squier debut ,all the holes lined up perfectly, note it comes with the old style wiring ,with no tone on the bridge pickup, but a simple wiring mod on the switch put it as I wanted it The pickups sounded not that much different to stock, but the build quality was better,I usually swop out the ceramics for Alnicos but I thought I’d leave these in situ and see how I like them, all my other strats have alnicos so I thought I’d have a different sound for a change .. on the whole a great deal for the cost…john

works and sounded very good for the value
Musiclily 11-Hole SSS Prewired Loaded Pickguard I bought this as my original guitars pickups had stopped working for a while and the guitar basically became a paperweight so i just wanted to get this up and running. Installation wise this was absolutely straight forward it couldn't be any easier to fit and you get a nice diagram on which wires go where before you start soldering so this can be done by any personally however, if your not comfortable in do the work then find a guitar shop who would happily help fitting this for you. The guitar i have is a copy of a strat so 3 holes didn't line up that well however, wasn't an issue and i simply made the modification in order for it to fit. It is worth noting as i have a squire bullet which the holes on this does fit just fine and i wouldn't have needed to modify in order for this to fit. For the priced paid which was £22.99 im pretty much happy with. The sound on these were alot better than the original sound when i first started learning to play the guitar many years. The pots on these are stated 250K and the switch felt like a switch not something from years ago when the switch felt cheap and flimsy this switch actually isn't have bad considering. also liked the shielding which the original had none. Overall this is an affordable upgrade if your looking for something different, easy installation, sounds very good for the price paid. It went on my first guitar which in all fairness is worthless however, holds a place in my heart because i know how much my parents saved years ago to fund it so i just wanted to bring it back to life however, without the white pickguard i chose the pearl black and it looks awesome against a sunburst body. would happily recommend.

Made my 1994 Squire look and sound like new!
This was a straight swap for the old, tired and broken electrics on my old Korean Fender. It came with instructions but it was pretty obvious what needed doing. You will need to solder 3 wires - 2 for the jack and one ground wire to the tremolo block on the back of the guitar. Apart from that - it's 11 screws and a new set of strings. It did need a little fettling as not all the holes lined up perfectly, which I expected as back in 1994, some elements of manufacturing were still done by people. I needed to drill a couple of pilot holes, which was a trivial task. It has not improved my playing, I'm still rubbish, but at least the sound is a lot better. The pickups were set pretty low, so you may need to raise them with the adjusting screws to suit your playing style. All in all for just over £30, this was a complete bargain. My Squire has gone from an aged black and faded off white to a crisp faux tortoise shell and black head turner.

Rubbish pickups
Having recently acquired a LP style guitar I decided to put my Strat to SSS standard by replacing the SSD squire scratchplate. Read the reviews saying this outperformed the squire pickups so gave it a shot ... What a load of nonsense them reviews were! The plate and hardware are clearly budget but usable. The pickups are total garbage ... Way inferior to the Squire set they replaced and to the Aria Pro 2 set that came before that. Tried various heights and slopes but nothing made them sound good. I guess the neck and middle were usable with a lot of help from my amp EQ but the bridge pickup was bad whatever I tried. On my Microcube (only 1 tone control) it was impossible to get a decent sound. Iron Gear pickups arriving tomorrow and I can't wait to get them in so I can use my guitar again. I bought a new Musicily trem the same time and they works fine but the rubbish pickups make this unusable.

Great Buy
Extremely easy to wire in, though it did need a bit of trimming and adjustment around the neck area. Holes didn't line up exactly with my guitar but that was easily remedied with some quick drilling. Middle pickup output is very low. There is no tone control on the bridge pickup as far as I can tell. Despite all this it sounds great, very tele-like bright tones. Recommended for those looking to easily revive an old guitar on a budget.

Fantastic Upgrade!
Amazing value for money. Screws lined up with existing holes. Has absolutely transformed the sound of my sons Squier Bullet strat. Well packaged and simple to install. Highly recommended and worthwhile upgrade. Excellent price even when you factor in £20 for a little basic soldering iron kit. So far I've added Graph tech nut and string trees which have helped a lot with the tone and sustain. These pick ups have transformed the sound and were an excellent buy. Very happy. Thank you.

This was a wonderful addition to my fixer upper squire Strat. I picked up this guitar years ago at a garage sale, its screws and knobs were very rusty. Not to mention the pick ups and the volume kit knobs falling out or not making any adjustments. Once I replaced it with this kit, it brought the guitar back to life, the tone is wonderful and it was so easy to install with very easy instructions to follow, just need to watch some YouTube videos if you’re uncomfortable with what you have to do. You will need to solder so I recommend making sure you have a solder gun. Once again the value of this thing is unmatched and you will have immediate satisfaction upon noticing it’s functionality and tone

Very simple to solder. Sounds amazing, just like my Squire pickguard, who's pickups were rusted and switches were buzzing. By the way, for me, only one hole (by the bottom tone knob) didn't line up, which will be a simple fix. 08' Made In Indonesia Squire. Unfortunately mine came with a light scratch, and yes I peeled the plastic protector off, so it's not on that. Everything else makes up for it though.. I plan on soldering in musiclily's own hot rail pickup into the bridge on this too, hoping it's as of good quality (By the way I checked, it fits the slot on this perfectly if you're planning on modding this pickguard!)
