Perfect solution for my garage!

I hate this light
I hate this light. I have it installed in my garage and it turns on very easily when there is movement outside the garage, on the street. Yet, when I am inside, it turns off every time I am there, even though I move around. Also, I am a painter, so its not like I am jumping around in the garage. Sometimes my movements are not very bold, but the light turns off all the time, and it is so very irritating, that I have it unplugged now. I used to have to be waving my arms in the air, to bring it back on, and that would not even be enough, I had to get up from my chair and do it a little more to the side. It is IMPOSSIBLE to try to get anything done with this light, if it needs to be awaken every 30 secs, and make me go out of my way to do so. I understand that there are some settings that can be adjusted, but I cant take it off myself, not sure how to access those settings. I would have loved it if it had a simple switch somewhere that I could see, and turn off the motion sensor. But there is no such switch that I can see anywhere. But the worst of all, about this light, IT SLOWS DOWN my wifi! I had no idea it was this light! I went and bought a new router, even though mine was only a year old. Bought a very expensive one, because the cable company told me that would solve the problem. It didnt solve anything. Only when I called the cable guy, he saw the light and he immediately told me those motion sensors interfere with the wifi! Then I saw here other reviews saying the same thing. Bingo. So now I have just unplug it and I cant use it. Too much hassle and high maintenance for my taste. I do not recommend this at all. They didn't think about something as simple as a visible on/off switch??

Too Sensitive Motion Sensor, Not Compatible with 5G Wireless Network
The Good:The installation was very easy and the overall unit is a lot lighter than the fluorescent ballast it replaced. The brightness is great.Motion activated to turn on is great as is the ability to turn off after a set amount of time there isn't any motion. The Bad:Even on the lowest setting, the motion sensor is very sensitive. Once I got within about 15 feet of the unit it would turn on, even at the lowest setting. When plugged in, the unit put off a frequency (or something) that completely killed my 5GHz wireless network. I tried different channels on the wireless router, but as long as the light was plugged in (about 20 feet from the router), the 5G band was unusable. I unplugged the light, connected and started a bandwidth test, plugged the light back in, and observed the signal drop to zero. The 2.4Ghz band was unaffected.

Good but not great.
I bought three of these from costco. They work great with one exception. I installed them in my basement. They have a radar sensor that can see through the basement ceiling so when we walk around upstairs we keep triggering them. If I could somehow shield them so they didn't see upwards they would be five stars. They can be set up so that they are always on and I could use a switch but I really like the feature where they automatically turn on. If anyone else reads this and knows how to shield them, please reply to this review.

Good, but not instant on...
Was looking for LEDs for my garage forever and jumped on these. They are good, but not quite there. They have a lot of options for brightness, motion, delay time to turn off, brightness - that's all fine. Given the locations of these in my garage that doesn't work well. I need them all on or all off, so I disabled all the settings. I really just need lights that come on with a switch. Other lights were hardwired. I put in outlets where other light were to make installing these easier. And this way I can move them. Will likely hard wire them eventually. The bad: not instant on. Not nearly as bad as fluorescent bulbs, but too long. It seems to be at least a second. That doesn't sound like much, but I can't just flip the switch on my way into a pitch black garage and keep walking. I have to stop and wait for the lights. It's only a second (maybe 2), so what's the big deal? It's a pretty big deal. Just doesn't behave the way you would expect. This is a big enough issue for me that I wish I had waited for something that doesn't have a delay. I hard wired a screw in light socket in the ceiling and put a 100W equivalent LED bulb in it so something comes on instantly when I flip the switch.

WINPLUSUSA gave us a Quick, Effective Solution to our "problem".
We bought this light and loved it - except for One SHOWSTOPPER: With the laundry closet doors closed, the light would turn on responding to motion on the other side of the closet wall!!!All the switches were set to default, with motion range being 1-3 meters - just under 10 feet. Stepping out of the kitchen, with the laundry closet back wall between the kitchen doorway and the light, would turn it on.Contacted [email protected] and got a response same day:"The motion sensor will sense through walls and doors within its range. One way to limit this is by placing a few squares of stacked foil on the side of the sensor you would like to limit."So we did that: took off the lens, folded up 4-5 layers of tin foil into a 3-sided "U" shape, stuck it in the slot around the sensor/dip switches assembly, and Voila! We could have used some tape to hold it in, but it stuck in there with a tension fit. The "U" shape shields any motion on 3 sides of the closet; the fourth side wall must be different because with motion there it doesn't activate.Although the light doesn't always activate when the laundry closet doors are opened, waving a hand turns it on.I'm impressed with the quality of the materials that comprise this light as well as the quick, effective response I got from Mr. J. Ramsey of Winplus.Who doesn't love LEDs?!
