I poured some industrial looking concrete counter tops for an outdoor kitchen I built under a new covered patio. These actually did fine on a 5" DA sander. I started with 50 grit and went to 800 grit, all wet sanded. I stopped there because I wanted to leave the air bubble voids and the final finish was to be paint anyway. But there's little doubt they do the job - quickly cutting through and leveling the surface. I would suggest you take a photo or keep notes as to which color is which grit because the process of wet sanding washed away the grit size as printed on the under-side of the pads. Once the pads were dry I used as Sharpie to note the grit size for the next time I need to use them.

These pads will get you 95% there for smoothing out scuffs and scratches in a granite counter top. But you will still need a high quality stone polishing paste or compound like MB-20 to attain a high gloss finish. I worked a worn and scratched area of a granite counter top with the 1500, then 3000, then 6000 pads. It left the stone surface with a very smooth but dull matte finish. I then applied MB-20 granite polish on one of the felt pads that came with this kit to achieve a very high gloss finish.

I did my own granite countertops and backsplash, 4 slabs total. These are so simple and the granite looks professional. 1 set lasted my entire kitchen.

This kit was fantastic. Great for the novice like myself. Would absolutely recommend it.

Worked great even fit onto my buffer to do a small granite countertop project on a few bathrooms in the house. Polishers worked just as good as the ones done by a professional never having done this before.

Polished 8 sqft of granite. It was my first time cutting and polishing, and these discs made the job easy. Used the 5 inch on my rotary grinder at about 1000 rpm. Slower than recommended. Disks still look like new, no signs of wear.

The finished product is very nice, but they really don't last, especially the lower grits. I fortunately had some "scraps" leftover from the first set of these, so I was able to complete the job with ordering a third set. They work well, but don't plan on getting through more than one small job.
