Peek-A-Boo Forest Soft Baby Book - Clip-On Cloth Book - Washable Crinkling Fabric Pages for Sensory Play - Teething and Learning Toys for Babies - 6 Months and Up

I have purchased several of these for gifts. It is the cutest book, with simple 'sounds' (i.e. crinkly), and fun for baby. The flaps are easy to lift & reveal the hidden animal. The bright colors are so eye catching and the animals have large eyes which catches the child's attention. It has a clip with it so it can be attached to strollers and car seats. Probably the best book I've purchased for baby showers; I get many comments on how much both parents & children enjoy it.

Baby loves this book! Started reading it to him at about 5 months old, and he is 7 months old and still loves it. For now, he is engaged by the bright colors and crinkly "peek-a-boo" flaps within the book. I love that it is a soft, cloth fabric that he can chew on as he gets distracted with my reading, which often happens within about 30 seconds. The book seems to be made with good quality, and the drawings are very cute. It seems very durable with baby pulling and yanking on the pages, and it's nice that the "spine" of the book also has a handle that he can use to grab it with. The 3D plush owl on the front is very nice, and baby really enjoyed sucking on that part of the book at first too.

Is it carefully, lovingly sewn like the quilt your baby's grandmother made in honor of your baby's first year of life? No. Is it a fun book that was sewn in a factory by workers who needed to get the job done and done fast? Yes. The book is great. It's high quality given the price point. It'll definitely stay together long enough until your baby doesn't need it anymore. (I'll update this review if I'm mistaken.) It's great for babies -- crinkly peek-a-boo flaps, animal pictures and names, rhyming sounds, colorful and eye-catching images, easy-to-turn pages to help develop motor skills. The book has a handle, so you can use your links to connect it to your stroller/carseat. I'm glad I bought it.

This is one of my favorite books of this kind!! My kids and I are obsessed with it. Perfect for baby and even young toddler aged kids.

I was so happy to find this book. Finally, a soft, textured book that has more than 2 pages to turn! The soft Priddy books, e.g., Squishy Turtle and Fluffy Chick, have only 2 pages to turn, evidently a downgrade from earlier versions which had an additional page. I'm happy to pay an additional 3-4 dollars if it means getting a more substantive book, as you do with this Lamaze book. In addition to Peek-A-Boo Forest being highly attractive, the rhymes are very appealing. My near 7-month old son lights up with big smiles when I read the book. As one review (at this time) mentions, you don't get a variety of textures here, like in the soft Priddy books, but babies really do love the crinkly sound, and there are plenty of other books/toys out there you can buy with multiple textures. What this book lacks in tactile variety it makes up for with quantity of pages and quality of writing/illustrations. My one complaint (and the reason for downgrading my rating to 4 stars) is that on several pages, the animal is not completely covered by the flap, making the "Peek-a-Boo" aspect not quite as surprising as it should be. The flaps need to be either bigger and/or sewn in a slightly different place to optimize coverage of the animal. The error is particularly egregious on the last page with the beaver. Maybe it's just my copy...

The Peek-a-Boo Forest book (designed for ages 6m+) is very cute. Has very bright colors, and peek-a-boo flaps that lift away on each page to reveal a cute animal (e.g. move the tree to see the moose, move the leaf to see the owl, etc.). There are five two-page spreads - each asking "Who is hiding behind the [tree or whatever]?" on the lefthand side, then revealing an animal beneath a crinkly flap on the righthand side. The featured animals are a moose, an owl, a bear family, a raccoon, and a beaver. The front cover also features a bird with a raised, fuzzy, crinkly face. Between the bright colors, the repetitive peek-a-boo activity, and the simple text, this seems very age-appropriate for my 6mo old. And more importantly, he agrees - he loves it! Note that these books are designed for different ages (the ones targeting older babies have a bit more of a storyline, etc.). This first book is awesome! It is really soft, easy to clean and durable! The story is cute and rhymes nicely. It does grow nicely into toddlerhood with lots of colors and textures. The pictures are cure and colorful and you can use the book as a tool to help with soft play and teaching. A really versatile toy!

My little one was 5 months old when she got this soft book and she still plays with it at 14 months old! She absolutely loves the different textures this book has. It has a crunchy texture, soft texture, and the leaves on the pages can be opened to show different forest animals. The quality of material is amazing and it handles biting, scratching, pulling on very well. My baby has thrown this thing around and pulled it all over and it's still as great as it was the first day she got it. It's so bright and colorful, she loves looking at all the pages and different animals. I highly recommend this book for all babies. They will love it just like my little one does!

My baby grabs books when I read them out to her, so this is a fantastic option. She loves the crinkle sound and its washable too!
