Acetone - Nail Varnish Remover- Solvent & Degreaser - 1Litre - 1000ml

From my experience, acetone has numerous uses and is a particularly useful substance to have at hand for jobs in and around the home - like removing nail polish, paint and permanent marker etc. It’s also great at dissolving superglue and a variety of other adhesives so that they can effectively be removed from the surfaces of glass,metal, plastic and tiling etc. It’s worth mentioning that I primarily purchased this brand of acetone because I needed a high quality acetone that I could mix with Paraloid B-72 to make a professional standard conservation solution to apply to my bronze-age artefacts. Anyway, this product easily met my high standards, so I’m very pleased I chose it. In addition, I emptied some of the acetone from the original container into a separate sealable glass jar and my wife has been using it to remove her nail varnish - and she tells me that it does an excellent job! It should be remembered that acetone is a powerful solvent and should be handled with caution - so ALWAYS wear protective latex gloves when using it. The bottom line is that if you’re looking for a good quality acetone that’s also reasonably priced, I can totally recommend this product from Swindon Composite Supplies.

When clean surfaces are paramount, Acetone is one of the best degreaser/cleaner. If you clean a metal surface with white spirit or methylated spirit, it looks clean. But apply Acetone to a white cloth and wipe that cleaned surface again, it is often black. Imperative when cutting/cleaning plastic before using Vinyl Dye, to allow it to bite into the surface.

Weighed about 850g upon arrival rather than the stated 787g, meaning it is only about 70% acetone despite being advertised as "pure". It still works for removing glue but takes longer
