Won’t change the channel
The remote that came with the tv quit working so I bought this one. It works fine to turn the tv on and off and works fine to turn the volume up and down. It just won’t change the channel. When I try to change the channel it turns the input from cable to tv.

It works but with limited range and requires patience.
Used with a Vizio E320fi-B2 and and an E500 model, this remote works ok. Using the qwerty keyboard takes practice and user adaptation. You must be very close to the tv and hold the remote in a specific orientation or it will not command the tv properly. Once you learn the range and where your fingers will block the signal emitted from the remote it's performance is acceptable. However it's range is very limited in comparison to the factory provided remote. When used with the E model vizio tv's it's range is only about 8 to 10 feet. Your user experience may vary. A wall mounted tv (near ceiling level) required being closer and more critical positioning than a tv sitting on top of a glass stand at waist height. Effective range is 8 to maximum 12 feet in this case. Note that the tv takes considerably longer to register the keyboard qwerty inputs versus the numerical inputs.

Awesome replacement remote that worked for my Vizio M501D-A2R
So my old Vizio remote for my M501D-A2R died on me. I wasn't 100% sure this remote would work since my model wasn't listed as a compatible TV. I took a chance anyway and I'm glad I did. This replacement remote is a decent price and it worked with my TV as is. I just had to put in batteries. My old remote didn't have a keyboard on the back, so this is also a plus. Also my old remote IR sucked because I would always have to go directly in front of the sensor to turn on the TV or to have any of the remote functions work. This remote improves the range and I can now turn the TV from my couch. I know I'm super lazy right...but anyway, that's what a remote should be able to do! :)Edit: Sorry ... my TV is listed on the compatible devices. I just may have missed it since I'm getting old lol. Anyhoo it's still awesome!

Much better than the remote my Vizio tv originally came with.
I recently purchased the Vizio M651d-A2R (awesome TV by the way). The only problem was the remote. It looked nice but it you have to aim it right at the IR port on the TV. Plus after a short while the right button on the direction pad started miss firing. This remote doesn't have to be aimed towards the IR port nearly as much. It still has to be aimed at the TV more than other remotes but I'm pretty sure its the TV's fault and besides, its acceptable. Also, the buttons have a much more reassuring click and have more travel. I highly recommend this to anyone who purchased the aforementioned TV. The only button that's missing is the 3D button but you can access the 3D functionality through the menu. Oh and this remote doesn't have a backlight like my original remote did but thats the only real drawback in my opinion and its worth it. (Even though I loved the backlight.) The keyboard on the back of the remote is also awesome when using Netflix and Hulu and etc.

I can set my sleep timer again.
The thing I can say about this is that it works, unlike the Vizio remote that came with the TV. It began going bad a week out of warranty and Vizio refused to replace it. They sent us to a website that wanted $185 to replace it. In order to use the old remote, I had to remove and replace the batteries whenever I wanted to do anything. The whole experience made me say, "never again." to anything Vizio. But, you can imagine how happy I am that I can now access the Vizio apps (as inferior as they are to Samsungs) and set my sleep timer. So I give this remote 4 stars. Poor packaging keeps it from getting 5. Arrived with the outer padded envelope ripped, no other padding. Fortunately it wasn't damaged.

Great OEM remote
Great OEM remote. Bought this on a gamble in terms of compatibility with an older Vizio smart TV. This was to replace the original one that was damaged. Literally just popped in batteries, and it worked. Sometimes the signal seems to be a little off and you have to point the remote at a VERY specific portion of the TV (IR has very little leeway with angle). Also, when flipped over and held horizontally (for keyboard "mode") you have to twist and hold the remote just right to make sure the presses are recognized. And you have to push the buttons pretty heavily, though that is nitpicking and could be plus (keys aren't accidently pressed). All in all, great replacement for the original. Glad I got it!TV: VIZIO E600i-B3
