I didn't see any other comments indicating it fits the Staghorn, so this is just an FYI review. It fits the old CVA Staghorn breech plug perfectly and the other piece screws into the bottom end of the ramrod just like the original.There was a little rust dust when it arrived. I assume it has been sitting in a warehouse for a few years. It polished up nicely with a little CLP cleaner. Other comments suggest the metal is too soft but so was the original. Just keep the breech plug well greased and finger-tight and you shouldn't have to worry about the soft metal.

This would have been the perfect solution for my scoped muzzleloader but I have an H & R gun and it did not fit my breach plug. Harrington and Richardson, is an off brand and they don't make a lot of muzzleloaders. I think I can have my friend weld this unit onto my breach plug key to make it work with a little effort, this is still a good product that is well made and well packaged and shipped in a timely manner, just make sure you have the right gun.

Got the job done. Easy to breakdown and clean a muzzleloader that had been neglected. A little bit pricey.

I had accidentally left my muzzle loader in our hunt camp cabin over 8 months. Well needless to say my breech plug seized and I misplaced my breech wrench and needed a replacement. I figured this was a very fair price on Amazon and ordered it. When I got it in I used it right away and was very happy with how well it worked and was plenty durable enough for the job. Use it each time I clean my muzzle loader now. Thumbs up.

The replacement CVA Steel Apollo Nipple and Breech Plug Wrench for my CVA 50 caliber In Line muzzleloader is perfect. If I did not know better, I would swear it is the same as the original that came with this fast shooting and accurate firearm. Made of black steel, blued to match the rifle, it fits perfectly, is balanced and easy to use, takes up minimal space in the field. Lesson to be learned, never loan your only set of original equipment manufacturer tools to a friend. They have a tendancy to forget who they truly belonged to or they selectively cannot find them for return. Again, relatively inexpensive, well made tools for your CVA rifle.R1

Factory replacement tool. Works perfect. A little expensive for 2 small medal rods that could have been homemade for free but worth a buy if you need this particular tool.
