SUCK UK Bottle Opener Fridge Magnet - Chrome

This is thing is great. I got one as a gift about 2 years ago. I've since purchased 2 more to give as gifts to other people. Easily removes caps and never budges or shifts on the fridge. The only thing that would make it better is magnets on the bottom to catch the falling cap. I picked up a few small magnets at a hardware store and glued them to the front bottom so I don't have to worry about catching the falling cap. Overall a great product. Simple, elegant, and functional.

This was a Christmas gift for the husband. It works well - the magnets hold it securely to the fridge. The shape of the opener works well. Our trash can actually sits next to the fridge, so we just pop the lid and it falls right in. The husband says twist tops don't work - for some reason they spill (for those sneaky beers that have twist tops, but you forget and use the opener anyway). I gave it 4 stars because ours came with an imperfection in the metal - a rough line down the whole piece. It wasn't worth the hassle of sending it back since it works well enough. My only suggestion to improve - it might be possible to design one with a more powerful magnet that was smaller, as this does take up a bit of fridge real estate. All in all though, we are pleased and for $15, we're happy customers.

I was a little worried about getting this considering some of the negative reviews, but I love it and haven't had any of the problems reported by others, such as the magnet not holding it securely enough or spilling due to the angle. I positioned it on my fridge directly next to the handle on the freezer door (I have the old school over/under style fridge). As another reviewer mentioned, having something integrated to catch caps would be a nice touch, but it's really not that big of a deal to just catch it afterwards. The main reason I got this was so I wouldn't have to go fishing around for my bottle opener in the utensil drawer every time I want a beer, and this works perfectly for that purpose. I realize that makes me sound pretty lazy, but whatever... Don't judge me -- you don't know what I've been through!A side note: I bought mine directly through Amazon, so I can't speak to the quality of those sold by third party vendors. One reviewer said that he/she might've received a cheap knock off from a third party vendor, but the one I received from Amazon seems to be legit, and I've been very satisfied with it.

Very cool product, makes opening bottles effortless. The only issue I ran into was that the caps would just fall on the floor and I had to pick it up. To solve this problem I purchased "Interdesign Magnetic Pencil Cup" from Amazon, which catches the caps and matches the design of the bottle opener. Purchased together the two make up a rather pricey but effective and cool bottle-opening system.As for bottles spraying or spilling when opened, I initially had this issue but it was because I was hesitating and opening the bottle too slowly. Just insert the bottle at an angle so the cap catches on the opener, then push it straight down in one smooth motion. I can successfully do this without spilling every time.

Looks super sleek and is super handy on the fridge. It stays in place well. But beware, when you use this opener, ESPECALLY with twist-off caps (though with non-twist too) it will spray everywhere like a bad Tom Cat in July. Also, If there is a way to get a cap catcher under it, that would be super duper too. I really hate chasing after the bottle caps when they fall to the floor. Especially when bare-foot.Also, you really have to get into the habit of using it. People at my house still get bottle openers out of the drawer because it blends in so well that they don't realize it's a bottle opener. Even if they know, they still forget because it blends in. If they do use it, it sprays all over them so they just use the bottle openers from the drawer.It has become a joke that the new person comes into the house and we point out the opener. Then we wait for them to use it and then laugh as they get sprayed down because they didn't know. Then I laugh as I hand them the towel to clean it up - special cruelty points because that spray gets EVERYWHERE! If the victim, er, person doesn't clean it up well, then the jokes really on me. But sometimes you got to take one for the team for a good laugh.Though a super cool idea, and looks really good, I just wish it didn't hose everyone down. A great idea that SEEMS practical, but really isn't due to fatal flaw. I don't recommend this even on practical joke terms because it really stinks to have a place hosed down with sticky stinky beverages.

This opener looks great and works well, but it doesn't have a magnet or anything to catch the caps when you use it so be ready to catch them and put them somewhere. Maybe I'm just lazy, but I like my opener to hold on to the cap for me until later.

THIS!I am an OCD animal when it comes to keeping a modern, minimalist look. The countertops clear. Only 1-2 items allowed, ever. Zero magnets on the fridge. Nope. The fridge is not for decoration.So I almost can't believe I bought this. But we have a white beer fridge in the garage. And if you want to open your Topo Chico, you have to go inside to get a bottle opener. It's a pain. And guests don't know which drawer you keep it in, etc. So this beautifully designed magnet appeared in my life.I allowed a magnet on my fridge. Gasp! It blends in beautifully with the white fridge. Form and function are both great.

Very disappointed. In order to open a bootle with this opener you have to hold the bottle almost level and point and insert the top of the bottle into the opening, then when the cap loosens the contents obviously spill.

Saw some 1* reviews but thought I'd take a chance. Placed mine on a slightly curved door so didn't get a perfect grip - but the magnets are so strong you'd struggle to pry it off from the top. Beer bottles are no problem at all.Yes, you have to put the bottle in at an angle but you push it back to upright to open it. Unless the design has changed, or someone's physically smacking the bottle against the fridge door, I'm not sure how you get spray out of the bottle.Nice and convenient and works perfectly. As others say, would be improved by some way to catch the bottle tops afterwards, but otherwise great.
