Perfect replacement
Was exactly what I needed to fix a faulty battery for a customer in a Garmin 50LM. Installation is simple, but there are a couple tricky parts. To take apart the unit you need a #5 Torx bit, which not everyone has.The OEM battery has some SERIOUSLY strong double sided tape holding it in, so use caution and patience getting it out.Beyond that, it works perfect, charges just like an OEM battery, and I'd 100% recommend this product.

Battery seems ok. No Date Code though.
Good battery so far. Charged right up and held the charger over night. No date code on the battery so kind of a guessing game how long it's been on the shelf and how long it might last. Date code sure would instill some confidence unless of course they don't want you to know it's been sitting around waiting for a poor old soul to buy it like a puppy dog in a shelter. No idea how it's been treated. Time will tell. I'll update with any bad news otherwise assume all is good.

Excellent Replacement
Fast shipping, excellent price, straightforward installation (see YouTube), double the capacity (4.1 vs 2.1 wh) compared to the original battery in my Garmin 50 GPS. Tight fit, but OK - carefully route the wires. Has noticeably longer battery life.

It fits and it works!
It fits in my Garmin Nuvi 40LM, Its NOT easy to install, because I did not have the "Special Tools" and I had to heat up the Old battery because it was pretty stuck in the case, Good Price, Battery Life? Just put it in!

Watch Youtube before trying to replace your GPS battery.
Replacing this battery is a little bit difficult. Not because of the battery itself, but due to the GPS and removing the circuit board. Then the complication of removed a "fixed" battery which was glued to the GPS. Found the instructions on YouTube to be invaluable. Great battery. Our GPS is like new again. Many thanks..

2nd bought for Garmin
These are good replacements and if your Garmin seems to be unreliable, I found it was because the OEM battery was 1/2 the capacity and the Satnav is much more reliable now

Works perfect
Great deal, includes all the tools and a very informative video. of note: The screws are VERY VERY small, and are all different sizes, make sure you note what screw comes from where. Battery is recognized like new in my aging iPhone 6s

Great Replacement + Fitting Tips
This review is specifically for fitting in the Garmin Nuvi 40 LM.First you will need a T4 Torx screwdriver for removing the four screws that hold the case together. The case is then still difficult to get into as it is still held together by internal plastic clips that are integral to the moulding. To open the case run a credit card into the top edge of the Garmin (the power button edge). This will reveal a tiny slot about 35 mm in from each edge in which you can insert a small screwdriver to lever open the top edge. Once you have levered open the top edge you can then run the credit card down the short edges and if necessary the bottom edge.BE CAREFUL NOT TO DAMAGE THE SCREEN CONNECTOR WHICH IS CLOSE TO THE BOTTOM EDGE.Once open you can remove the screen easily by flipping up the ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) latch on the motherboard and the ribbon cable falls out.Removing the old battery is difficult at it is held in by some very strong double sided adhesive tape. This is best achieved with an old blunt screwdriver and levering the battery out of the case. this will damage the old battery without doubt and you will be in fear of actually breaking the case as it is really stuck well.Once removed salvage the double sided tape by peeling off the old battery and stick in the space in the case.Peel the label off the new battery and stick back on the other side as it is stuck on the wrong side and you would end up covering the battery details when you stick the new one back in.BE CAREFUL CONNECTING THE BATTERY, the connector should only fit one way as the pins are slightly off centre, but look carefully and use a magnifying glass if you are not sure.Use a laptop or phone charger or PC usb port to charge for a while, you should see the battery indicator when connected to your computer if you are using the Garmin software. This battery lasts for over 4 hours without it being connected to any power source so you can easily use your Garmin while walking and gives better than original life.
