excellent review of epidemiology and related concepts! My wife was doing this course and I read a lot of texts but this one was very easy road and i understood a lot more. Highly recommend for advanced or beginner

Very well written book with the exception of a couple of things:1. the chapters on confounding and bias were a bit confusing2. many of the examples that compared two different scenarios contained data that were essentially identical in terms of the differences. It's a bit hard to explain, but when you read it you'll understand. It's very confusing as a result to determine the differences between two different scenarios.Aside from clear writing overall, I also really liked the fact that there was an entire chapter dedicated to the answers for all the problems in the book.

This book explains concepts in a way that is easy to understand. The format of the book is clear and reader-friendly. I definitely read the book for class and it has helped me excel

Required course material. I like that the electronic version has a search feature so that you can quickly move to the section you want to look at. I can also view it on any device- phone, laptop, or tablet.

I took an epidemiology course along with a bio-statistics course. I honestly ussed the biostat book for all my epidemiology assignments, its pretty much the same concepts. The copy i received had water damage, but there was no pages missing so when i did use the book i was able to get what i needed.

I've read a few epidemiology textbooks and this one has been the most accessible of the bunch - although including formulas and their explanations there is plenty of content that isn't focused on formula digestion. It also presented observational studies, and case-control study designs in particular, in a more contemporary and balanced light without the disdain that is easily recognized in other texts. As a textbook or access point for interested readers I think it serves quite well.

Just arrived a couple days after ordered. Love reading it as it is quite sample and very easy to understand.

This was very interesting to understand and contributed to my desire to use "epi" studies as a significant part of my current research project
