Barbie Entrepreneur Doll

I've been developing a 2nd business and recently heard about Entrepreneur Barbie...and it turns out this is the Barbie that finally got me to buy a Barbie doll for the first time in my life. I've never been a big Barbie fan. This one arrived on time, the packaging was pristine and the pink clad icon with her 21st century technology is smiling out through the plastic window. I got her mostly as a little novelty motivational tool when the developmental process and grunt work of building a business gets taxing, boring and monotonous and I want to fast forward to the end where it's successful and I'm rolling in profits. She's sitting on a display trunk so when I start slowing down I can glance over, see her there as a reminder that the Entrepreneur in me is why I made the decision to endure the crappy not so fun parts and build something phenomenal. Next goal: see if they'll let me sell it on Amazon! Yeah? Yeah?? Yeah!

It's more of a cute trendy Barbie, or going to a networking reception Baribe than an entrepreneur. I don't know of too many female entrepreneurs that wear cute dresess and heels and carry a black mini-briefcases as part of their regular lives. It would have been more authentic if she wore jeans and a company t-shirt and carried a messenger bag or a backpack.

This is a cute Barbie. I gave this as a gift to a female friend who just started her own business and she loved it. Her clothes are still the traditional Barbie colorful, she comes with a monogrammed briefcase, tablet and phone and matching bag. No real flaws, packaging however dents very easily so the box she arrived in came banged up and a bit dog-eared, which I felt bad to see in a gift item and there was not time to replace it. This was not an Amazon poor shipping or packaging issue, it just is a kind of cheap packaging. Of note: the phone, shoes, necklace, ponytail holder, tablet and pink bag and briefcase are all small pieces, the packaging indicates not for children under three, there are so many small pieces I would not give this to a child with very young siblings.

I bought this for Christmas for my daughter. This is her first Barbie. I'm not pleased with the difference between what I remember playing with and the doll she is today. CONS: I remember playing with Barbies with movable joints as a child. This one only bends at the waist and turns her head. Not as fun. The shoes and necklace do not stay on. It's quite laughable. As soon as you remove the clear rubber bands that she is packaged in, the necklace and shoes are pointless and fall off within seconds of exposing them to mere gravity, much less play. The briefcase is very difficult for my 5 year old daughter (heck, me) to put anything into, including the slim iPad and phone. Doesn't really open. The plastic is very low quality from what I remember playing with in the early 90's. PROS: My 5 year old was able to take her dress off easily. I was a little worried that the tight fit would make it hard. Not the case. This doll provides a good opportunity for her to play "entrepreneur". Not a bad thing. CONCLUSION: My daughter also has Lottie dolls, a 12 inch Disney princess (from Disney, not Mattel), a Lammily doll, and Goldie from Goldie Blox. All four are fairly comparable in quality of materials, have movable joints, and (with the exception of the princess) normalize healthier body image. Unless she expresses interest in Barbie again, we'll be opting for better quality dolls.

I got this as a joke, since I'M an entrepreneur with blond hair, briefcase, love pink and have a white iphone. (My mother wouldn't let me have Barbies when I was little...they were "too busty") --and as they say, it's never to late to have a happy childhood" so seeing what this doll looked like when it was advertised, I ordered one and it's in my office. My friends and colleagues think it's a riot.

Awesome, super cute and classy. She was the crowning piece sitting atop my Law School Graduation cake and it was awesome! Yum Bunnies bakery in Watertown, MA made the cake and I wish I could post a pic! Barbie has always been a favorite of mine and I hope the barbie haters would calm down because she has had a million awesome jobs in over the years and entrepreneur barbie is no exception.

I expected her to be a intelligent woman, but once I saw her, I realized she is just Barbie...

Barbie looked great, but she had no shoes. She must have been late for work. Lol. I had to order another doll with shoes for a pair of shoes because I was planning on giving them his to my grown niece with a little money tucked in the bag as a Christmas gift as she just started a new job! It all worked as I had time to fix. Maybe this was noted in the description, I don’t know.
