Jeep CJ7 replacement.
I have a 1986 CJ7, I did some ohm checks at my non working fuel gauge over a few days on between fill ups. I was getting between 11ohms (full) and 60ohms (1\4 tank) at the pink wire on the back of my factory fuel gauge. Sender in my tank was still working! Instead of buying a new speedo ($130) or taking mine apart to install a new fuel guage, I bought this for under $15. Needle is steady, giving accurate readings. Easy install, 12v, ground, and that pink wire that went to factory gauge. I spliced into 12volt and ground wire from radio, all spade connectors on new gauge, about 10 minutes. To make it light up, optional, I spliced into the dash wiper light (orange wire) so it lights up when I turn the headlights on. I will eventually replace my factory gauge but this is a great back up! I believe this is also the same ohm range of factory temp gauge so it could be used to trouble shoot temp sender. Only down side is that it didn't come with a mount.

Great Buy for the price
Love this product, very easy to install and works great. I installed in on my 1986 F150 using the same wire from the original harness. Very accurate and bright at night. Make sure before buying that it has the correct ohm reading as your sending unit. Otherwise very happy with the product, and highly recommend

Nice gauge but read review
This gauge is the correct 10-70ohm for my old CJ and installed quickly with factory wiring. The issue I’m having is it reads one level with key on 12v then fuel level increases when engine starts and alternator puts out 14v. I’m inclined to believe the 12v reading is most accurate but when you drive an old CJ any indication of fuel level is better than no idea.

Great for the price, but the bulb was broken
Even though the bulb was broken out of the box, this thing still gets 5/5 stars. It came with correct sized wire plugs for crimping, clear instructions, and the build quality is quite nice. I actually used this to replace a very old and outdated system in my '68 bug. I do wish the needle was a different color, but for such a cheap replacement, it's hard to complain. Does exactly what it's supposed to do. The chrome is more like silver plastic/aluminum, but where I live real chrome gets eaten away very quickly so I welcome such rust-proof replacements.Response is very quick and even when I initially wired it wrong, it didn't burn out (I didn't pay attention to which wire was ground and which was hot). Highly recommended if all you need is a simple replacement.

Cheap and works
Rebuilding 78 f100 "street rod" from scratch very easy to connect reads about right fuel level ,but the needle does shake back and forth some at least gives me an idea of how much fuel is in my old truck!

finally - an accurate fuel gauge!
Replaced the speedometer on my 1980 CJ5 and the built-in gauge is a joke (shows half a tank when tank is full). Verified that the sending unit is measuring 10 to 74 ohms. Tried another gauge and it was way off the other way. This gauge is very close to reality.
