Designer Skin Luminary Bronzer, 13.5-Ounces

Mine was not the real product. Compared it to the one purchased in store and it was a completely different consistency and yielded no tanning results.

Okay, so when I initially bought this I was super excited. I love this brand and heard that this lotion has sparkles in it. BUT this lotion made my skin really flakey before during and after the tanning bed. No matter how much I exfoliated before tanning this beautiful little bottle of sparkly goodness rubbed my skin off. It smells wonderful, the consistency is okay, but this hard gave me a tan. My walmart lotion worked better than this stuff. I was super disappointed because of the whole flakyness and my skin rubbing off and balling up ALL OVER.

I have used designer skin products since I started tanning years back. Im not that serious of a tanner but when I do go, I like to do my research on all the new lotions and get one that either has great reviews or is from a somewhat reputable company. Ill have to admit, being a male, the look of this bottle alone scared me. If the sparkles and glowing lights on the bottle arent a enough of a hint that this is (most likely) aimed towards women or the "certain" type of male, then I must be out of my mind. But, from all the positive reviews, it pushed me into purchasing this lotion.The one thing that I do not like and can not stand about this lotion is... the smell. Good lord is it strong. It is an over the top perfume smell that I would not recommend anybody buy who is sensitive to these kinds of smells. I for one am not, as long as its in moderation. Luminary defies that "in moderation" concept and showers you in its fragrance. Have you ever been stuck in an elevator with and "old" lady who has that over powering musk perfume sprayed all over her? We have all come across these kinds of people from time to time. Well this is pretty close to that strength. I really wish it wasnt as strong.The lotion itself, makes my skin feel incredible and does get me dark after a couple visits. But I wont buy this again and would rather recommend a similar lotion (Black Storm), to all my fellow male tanners or people who dont like over powering perfumed lotions. =)

I started out with Australian Gold Sinfully Black then changed to Designer Skin White to Black with Hemp. The W2B was working wonders on me, but it is as if I had reached a plateau. I stumbled across Luminary two weeks ago but the price worried me a little. I decided to sample some from the owner of the tanning salon to see why this product has a $120 price tag. I really liked it, but the tanning salon could only sell at $80 with a discount, and I simply couldn't afford that. After using Google to research the product, I found it on Amazon for $42. I was skeptical because of the huge difference in price, but decided to take a chance and order. I ordered from Solarium (fulfilled by Amazon). I am an Amazon Prime customer, so I received my bottle in 2 days. Shipping was fast and easy. The bottle was packaged nicely and the product was sealed, as promised. After using once, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt this is the real deal! Luminary has a very pleasant scent and is not greasy. It doesn't streak but can leave spots between the fingers if not wiped off or rubbed in good after applying. After using Luminary, my skin feels so soft and smooth, and I notice a difference after every time I tan. Luminary has little sparkles in the lotion. I didn't see them before using but after going out in the sunlight, my skin just shimmers. This is the very best lotion I have used thus far, and I will be ordering my second and third bottles soon, so that I have them ready next year. I would give Luminary, Sold by Solarium, Fulfilled by Amazon, 10 stars if I could. If you don't tan easily or have reached your plateau, buy this lotion. You will not be disappointed. I can't speak for other sellers, but Solarium is the way to go. I paid $3 more from this seller and got the real Luminary. To me, that's definitely worth the guarantee that you're getting what you want and need! Luminary is everything the seller promises it to be, and it is worth every single penny spent!Purchased a new bottle on 01/19/16 @ 4:30PM CSTMy package was at my local FedEx Shipping location @ 8:00AM on 01/21/16. This time, the lotion was packaged inside a plastic container and had bubble wrap in the Amazon Prime box. I was so excited to open the bottle and smell that amazing smell again!! I was very near running out of my first bottle, but I was able to compare the two. The packaging says the lotion is good for 18 months. I can tell you that the color of my bottle bought less than a year ago is a lot darker than the new bottle. It is also thinner. This is after sitting on a countertop in my bathroom for the last 8 months. The end result is the same, regardless of the aging of the product. I went 10-15 shades darker after laying 6 times in my KBL level 4 bed!! I had gotten pretty pale since last tanning about 8 months ago, but I have had minimal redness this year. My skin is dark, bronze, and beautiful!! As for the new bottle of lotion, I couldn't be happier with the ease of ordering, fast shipping, and the consistency of the product. I see myself using this lotion for years to come. I also plan to try out the Designer Skin Miss Designer and Spellbound lotions.Luminary worked for me, and I ended up with a beautiful bronze brown color that everyone can't stop talking about!! Make your friends jealous! Buy this product!!

Love the lotion. Smells really good even after you tan. Not like most where your skin smells like you've been in the tanning bed cooking all day. Especially good for beginner tabs once you achieve your glow then it's good to go with a darker lotion so you don't have tan lines if you don't rub the lotion in all the way. This one is so smooth and when you shower it doesn't feel like you have anything caked on your skin.

I love this lotion. I am fair skinned and easily burn. With this lotion, I got a great honey colored tan and no burn the first time I used it. It smells so good, I got lots of compliments as I left the salon and after my 12 minutes in the stand up you know I was sweaty. After several uses I had a beautiful looking tan. This will be a lotion that I use again and again. I usually change lotions every other time, and this will be one that I use a lot.

I order their after tan lotion now faithfully, but this is the first time I had tried this lotion. The Luminary Bronzer is definitely pricey, but still MUCH cheaper through Glamour Tanning than at the tanning salon. I have my own tanning bed so i refuse to pay the exorbitant prices for lotion at the salons. I've used this twice (i already had a base tan). I was very dark getting out of the bed but it seemed to fade alot after i took a shower that night. I am hoping I just needed to exfoliate, lol. I def like the smell and am not going to let it go to waste since I paid for it, but may stick to my black 100x afterward, or the Worship Me lotion. Still good product, great service, and excellent packaging.
