This is a great little scope. The optics are clear. The assembly is simple in mounting the telescope to the tripod. And, stellar alignment is quick and easy. I struggle with the backlash controls a little. But, it's still a little new to me. I wasn't too sure about how the single fork arm would work out. So far so good. I like the hand controller design. It really keeps it where it's needed, and out of harms way, or cordwrapping like some other scopes. Even the autoguider and cpu interface is easy to use. I absolutely love it!Here's something important to keep in mind on the this scope: the dovetail bracket is designed to hold only 12lbs in total. Adding a lot of accessories to this scope may cause you some stability issues. Trust me, I know. I had an Orion Starshoot Autoguider package (including guidescope), Orion Monochrome Imager (DS II) and filter wheel, and an Orion flip mirror on the end of this scope. I noticed some arm flexing occurring and winnowed down the amount of accessories accordingly. Plus, with the limited amount of weight this design can hold, balancing too much weight is difficult because of the limited travel the OTA has on the dovetail bracket.Still, I love this little scope! It's a great value for the money.

Bought for personal use. Phenomenal telescope for viewing. Was able to clearly see Saturn and Jupiter so far. Easy to use and to transport. We have taken it on camping trips.The only negative thing to comment on was the power cords durability where it attaches to the telescope came loose. Able to hook it back on but disappointing.

I like the size and construction. Nice construction and features for a beginner to intermediate. Nice crisp images.With the optional autofocus unit. For me. This telescope is perfect.

Great scope. Just bought, so far I have not had to collimate, images are sharp and bright. I also bought the GPS module so I fire up the scope, point it at something obvious (right now Jupiter) and bang it's aligned. I'm using almost exclusively a 20mm Plossl eyepiece and am very happy.

Only one eye piece, low magnificence

Do not buy this scope. Mine broke in the first hour. There is significant communications problem with this scope. The hand controller loses comunication with internal components. There are several forums dedicated to dealing with these issues. They all indicate that Celestron does not support their product. Run, do not walk away from this scope.
