HooverV 2, All Terrain, Wide Path, Dual V Steam Vac Brush Block with 6 Brush.

I use my Hoover carpet cleaner a lot with 3 dogs and beige carpet. I was bummed when I broke a piece off the head as I was trying to remove it so I could clean it. My husband found the replacement part on Amazon and we were happy b/c it would save us money! Popped it in when we got it and works great!

Our carpet cleaner stopped doing a good job and when I investigated I found that the green plastic "drive shaft" had broken. I am sure it is because I had run the machine into low and then thick carpet without stopping or raising it up. Without the brushes working, the machine just does not clean well. I ordered this replacement from Amazon, clicked it into place and we are back cleaning as before. I am sure that this drive shaft mechanism is plastic to protect the machine but I wish it was just a bit stronger. Other than that, the machine (with the brushes) does an above average job.

I really like my Hoover Dual V steam vac. However the brush design is a piece of crap. I had a Bissel for years that was not very good but it lasted. I replaced it with the Hoover and it does a much better job. The brushes work great till they break. I used it about 6 times. On top of the brush is one skinny little plastic piece that plugs into the machine. Thats it. No way it could last too long. Its very cheaply made. Italmost looks like they made it so it will break and they can get more of my money. I contacted Hoover and they were no help. Besides my warrentee was expired. I did buy a new brush hoping maybe they improved it some how, Same brush. I have to decide if I want to keep buying brushes or buy a new machine.

Bought this for my Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe : SpinScrub50 and it did not even align with the holes, the sizing was way off. Big bummer, appears better quality than the replacement I ordered from the hoover website which was a huge disappointment and step down in quality though it fit perfect.

Simple, cheap fix for something that is admittedly a flaw in its design. I realized later that I could just replace the one brush for cheaper, but this was literally a 10 second fix. I'll probably modify the broken one to replace the plastic shaft that broke with a metal insert. As this one may break too. Though now that I know it just pops right out for cleaning I won't let it get so clogged up with dog hair, what probably caused the problem in the first place.

The tabs that help the brush block stay in were not manufactured like they should so the block doesn't stay in like it should. Also the bristles on the actual brushes are not very stiff, and I don't think this will last very long as after a few uses; they will most likely not scrub any longer.
